    By the hand, or rather by the camera lens of the renowned photographer Rogério Paulo Gonçalves, Fado & Food Group will be present in the images that will be exhibited on July 4, 2018, at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Lisboa.

    The Santa Casa da Misericórdia institution in Lisboa celebrates this year 520 years of existence.

    This exhibition covers some of the most representative fado artists at present time, five of them act in the fado houses Café Luso and Adega Machado:

    Raquel Tavares (fadista), Suzana (fadista), Dulce Pontes, (fadista), Joana Rios (fadista), Isabel Noronha (fadista), Pedro Martinho (fadista), Barbara Santos (fadista), Marco Rodrigues (fadista) ,Marta Pereira da Costa (guitarra portuguesa), Mariza (voz), José Manuel Neto (guitarra portuguesa), Pedro Jóia (viola), Fábia Rebordão (fadista), Ana Moura (fadista) Gisela João (fadista), Carlos do Carmo (fadista) e Celeste Rodrigues (fadista)

    Armando Figueiredo is a mature and technically very reliable violist, so much demanded by many of the best in the fado scene today.

    Guitarist Luís Petisca (Portuguese guitar) is a main partner in his performances outside Timpanas’ fado house, where Armando Figueiredo is part of the cast along with guitarist Hugo Edgar.

    Let’s take a step in Radio SIM, in which he accompanied some fado singers, namely: João Braga, Marta Rosa, José da Câmara, among others.

    In this meeting he played with a figure standing in the fado community, Professor Joel Pina (bass guitar – was part of the Adega Machado cast) that integrated Raul Nery’s legendary string quartet together with Fontes Rocha and Júlio Gomes.

    One of the novelties in 2018 is the inaugural production of fado workshops and Portuguese folklore for one of our largest clients, the multinational agency Globus, which celebrates 90 years this year.

    This is surely an extremely useful line of work to raise the awareness of the international public to the universe of Portuguese popular music, which can also contribute to improve the environment in which Fado wants to make itself heard.
